About

Born on the outer fringes of East London, I discovered photography back in the late 70’s and ever since I saw my first image magically appearing in a tray of photographic chemicals, I have been hooked.
Originally self-taught and learning from my peers I attained my Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society (L.R.P.S.) in April 92, and obtained the distinction Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (A.R.P.S), in October 1993. In June 1998, I attained my first formal photographic qualification, a BTEC National Diploma in Photography. Although offered a place on a BA(Hons) Photography course that September, circumstances prevented me from taking my place, however I am now taking the BA(hons) in Lens Based Media at Lincoln college.
Over the years I have worked part time, full time and freelance in photography, amongst other things. In 2005 I set up phototitles.com to sell photographic books from established photographers and publishers, signed and rare monographs rather than how to do type books.
In 2007 I made the decision to move from my comfort zone of the industrial wasteland of the north bank of the Thames to the Market Rasen area.
Since then my photography has taken a new direction, inspired by the area around Rasen which is a joy to the eyes and one of the country’s best kept secrets, from the gently sloping plateaus, to the rolling hills of the Wolds; I have rediscovered my love of landscape photography.
Working in both digital and with traditional light sensitive materials (I so hate the expression analogue photography) and whether working in the studio or on location I draw my inspiration from, the natural form and beauty of the Lincolnshire Wolds and its surrounding area.
